When did you get into Blogging and why?
I started blogging shortly after attending my first SES conference back 2 years ago in August. I met a lot of people there who had blogs and it just seemed like a cool easy thing to do. I wanted a place to put down my thoughts on the search engine/ affiliate industry and also my pictures.
What is your favorite thing about blogging?
The readers ;)! Also so many people tell me I have made a difference in there life reading from my experiences. That is pretty cool!
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned regarding your blog?
Watch what you say. Ive made some comments about some people that I never thought would actually see them. Some celebrities and even top people at search engines have reached out to me personally and I felt really bad about what I said …. On one hand I was stunned that someone knew someone who pointed them to what I said but then when you talk with them you see they are just a regular person like you.
What’s the Best Internet Marketing Advice you can give to up and coming young bloggers?
Just find something you like and work with it. If it feels like work it probably is not going to be very successful. My blog for instance is something I do when I take a “break” from normal work.
Where do you think the future of blogging will be in 5-10 years?
I think as spamblogs increase on the web there will come a point where search engines will throw up the white flag and start to just lower the value of all blogs they can fingerprint. For this and many other reasons you should always write your blog for your readers and not search engines.
What do you like to do away from blogging and the computer?
I like to spend time with my daughter, juliet and my wife, J.

Sadly, I think he’s right about the spamblogs. It’s just getting completely out of hand. Someone has to come up with a way to stop them.
