I’ve been starting to compile a lists of people who have been linking to my site and who also have outstanding websites that have helped inspire me to create my own blog. I plan on writing a mini-review of these sites on a weekly basis to give them their due respect in the blogosphere.
Coincidentally, King Nomar is giving away some coupons for the best review of his site, so I decided to start off with his review to get myself qualified.
For those of you who don’t know who King Nomar is, he has quickly become one of the most popular web development/marketing bloggers on the internet. Started in October of 2006, his majesty has been writing informative and helpful articles that cover a wide range of web development including the following:
I have read and taken advice from King Nomar as this month, I planned on increasing my traffic with one of his helpful tips in signing up for free directories. These articles have helped garner a wide range of attention to KingNomar.com and the major statistics that measure blogging success do not disagree. According to Alexa, King Nomar’s numbers have shown a dramatic spike in the past few months. Also, the site’s Technorati ranking has shown tremendous growth, which is a true testament to the quality of work that King Nomar is publishing.
As you can see, numbers don’t lie.
Of course, every website could use a level of improvement and I definitely think that KingNomar.com is no exception. One of the first things I noticed is the grammar, which is by no means something I’m an expert at, but I did notice some mistakes here and there that were too much to ignore. I have noticed that Nomar has mentioned the need to upgrade the looks of his site and I would have to agree as it’s rather “vanilla” for my tastes. To be honest, I think any serious blogger who is looking to monetize his content, should go through multiple themes for his site, analyze the numbers and then pick the best one accordingly. The last thing I would advise is that the number of entries on the homepage should be cut down to about 5 posts as I think Nomar is wasting a lot of real estate in the right sidebar as he makes people scroll further and further down the page.
Overall, it’s obvious that I will still be visiting KingNomar.com as it’s a great resource for news and tips in the web development and blogging world. I hope that after you read this review, you will soon realize the same.
