This Week in Blogs got a lot easier with the influx of entries into the iPhone give away I started earlier this week. I’ve been chatting it up with a lot of people from around the world about blogging, the iPhone and each other’s part of the world a lot this week.

So, without further adieu, here are some sites that caught my eye this week:

Sandier Pastures – Dubai’s been recreating so many new tourist attractions and their version of the Venice Canals is no different!

World of Dreams – I just learned it’s Buy a Friend a Book Week and it’s FRIDAY!!! Can we count Danielle keeping one of my books for 6 months as my donation?

Egonitron – Just posted an article about how Google’s gonna get a PR 8. I won’t believe it until I see it!

Shawn Knight – Long time reader Shawn Knight just posted about Fried Food and even better, it’s southern fried food, so he gets a mention just because I’m a sucker for anything fried!

Make Money with Kassper – It seems like I can make money with so many people online now, so why not Kassper, too? He’s just saved me a post and talks about how Google is taking advantage of their new acquisition and intergrating Feedburner into Blogspot.

To Facebook or not to Facebook – Ed Lau just posted this question this morning and to be honest, I’ve been thinking about the same thing. I’m annoyingly tired of sifting through the garbage they call MySpace, Friendster’s a joke now and Bunkers Paradise just isn’t finished yet! What is a stalker, er, friend suppose to do these days to find people?

Hope you enjoy these blogs! If I haven’t pushed it enough, here’s my chance to . . . all these blogs were entries in my iPhone Giveaway Contest, so if you haven’t entered yet, what are you waiting for?

I recently received a tag from my good blogger friend Hannes Johnson on a new 5 Must Read Blogs meme he’s participating in, which was started by The Paper Bull. It’s pretty simple as all I have to do is write something about my favorite blogs. Here we go:

DoshDosh.com – Maki’s blog was one of the first blog’s I added to my RSS subscription when I first started blogging. It was from his Z-List that I started learning about Link Trains and from that point on, I’ve learned many things about making money online with DoshDosh.Com. He’s been very helpful with focusing my blog and I had the pleasure of joining forces with Maki to make the Technorati Faves Exchange a huge success.

JohnChow.com – John Chow was the inspiration for my start in blogging. Reading his daily food stories to his tremendous success stories about making $8-12k a month through his blog keeps me motivated to succeed in my own blogging and internet career.

ShoeMoney.com – Another A-List blogger that I have read from the very beginning. I just conducted a interview with Jeremy and it shows how accomodating and in touch he is with his readers. ShoeMoney has a great blend of Jeremy’s personal experiences along with helpful blogging tips.

BlueHatSEO.com – I admit that I have no clue how to program or code, so reading BlueHatSEO.com is a little challenging for me to understand. No matter though, I still read this blog to make sure I’m up to date with what’s going on in the underground world of internet marketing.

AndyBeard.eu – Andy’s blog is relatively new to my RSS Subscription, but it doesn’t matter. He writes some of the most detailed analysis about any topic you can think of regarding internet marketing and making money online as a whole.

Tag – I’m going to tag Ms. Danielle, Jeff Kee (since Jeff Kee’s already done this meme, I’m gonna tag Ed Lau), and Jane May and much like Hannes Johnson, I’m going to tag two more people who comment on this post with something like than a 5 word sentence.

To be honest with you, I still have a lot of blogs to catch up on since the train is moving way too fast for me now, so I’m going to give you some great posts from some of my buddies and a couple of new blogs i found from my fave exchange.

First of all, I followed suit with Nate and Nomar and decided to stop my affiliation Chowtera, er, Kontera, since I was getting a low click through rate and the overall eCPM sucked. As opposed to subtracting, the new feature I’ve added comes from one of our web development neighbors up north called FeedBuddy. The site generates a nice RSS Button with a drop down menu that you should notice in my right column now, which I hope will get you to subscribe to my blog =)

This is going to be my first official speed linking post and I’m going to call it This Week in Blogs, which is an obvious bite of one of my favorite podcasts: This Week in Tech with Leo Laporte. I googled the phrase and no one has really officially used it as a category for their site, so if anyone has a problem . . . . you should have done a better job branding the phrase!

I’m going to try my best to surf the net and show you what has been catching my eyes as I surf around the net during my 80+ hours/wk on the net.

1) Ed Lau – Notorious B.I.G.: Unbelievable – First of all, it’s a new remix album from Mick Boogie featuring one of the GodFathers of Hip Hop aka Biggie Smalls aka Big Poppa aka Christopher Wallace. So run, don’t walk cuz you’re going to want to get your ipod ready for this. Second, it’s a free download, so if you’re not already downloading this album, I don’t know you! This was a great find by Ed Lau and to know that he has great taste in Music just bumped him up on the cool meter (i’m gonna make one, just you wait)

2) Existential Ventures – 10 Ways to Market your Website using MyBlogLog – A lot of bloggers are on MyBlogLog and it has quickly become a great place to interact with other bloggers and also find new blogs. By placing a face to the blog, MyBlogLog has given a personal touch to the jumbled text and graphics that fills blogs all over the world. Anyways, Broc at Existential Ventures as pointed out 10 ways to increase your traffic, but my disclaimer here is that some of these tips aren’t the most ethical and maybe be frowned upon by some bloggers. I leave it up to your good judgement to use the tips as you see fit.

3) Harpzon.com – Post a Comment and I’ll donate $10 for you – A lot has been debated in the last few weeks about the ethics of promoting your own site using a charity as a front. Personally, I think that as long as the charity benefits at the end of the day, it’s all good.

4) JonLee.ca aka Web Development – Printer of the Future – I found this while reading through my feeds and thought this was the greatest thing since prices lowered on LCDs! A color printer that prints as fast as Laser Printers and just as fine too. Only if they would lower the friggin prices on ink cartridges, this world would be a much colorful and creative place!

5) CareerRamlings.com – Career Fairs: What the Heck do I do? – This is another great article for the newly graduated. I remember when I was in my last year at UC Irvine (zot!zot!) and was traveling to all the other universities such as USC and UCLA to check out their career fairs. I remember being overwhelmed because I lacked the preparation to make a good impression on the recruiters at these events. I highly recommend this post for anyone getting ready for the “Real World!”

6) The Benefits offered by Google – This article just snuck into this week in blogs as my co-worker emailed it to me while I was writing this post. It talks about the new trends Google are setting outside of the computer in the world of business. One major theme – Treat your employees as well as you treat your customers! Point well taken!

and that’s This Week in Blogs (insert TWIT music here)

Another website that I have been visiting recently is TylerCruz.com. One of the biggest reasons why is because he also runs PokerForums.org and that is one of the sites that I have been reading for the last year or so. Also, I kind of took notice of Tyler more when he didn’t participate in the “Name in My Domain” link train (no hard feelings Tyler). Anyways, Tyler is running a similar type of backlink program (thanks to Jose for the tip)that John Chow is running and also similar to what I am running, so I wanted to practice my blog reviewing skills with a review for Tyler.

To give you a little background on who Tyler Cruz is, he’s a young web entrepeneur on his journey to wealth. It looks like it’s going to be a pretty fast journey as he’s making an average of $256 a day for the past 6 months on top of the $100,000 he made last year. I’m going to just guess that most of that money was made from PokerForums.org, where the average CPA earned averages around $300.

Aside from raking in the dough, Tyler also has time to write interesting pieces of information in his blog about his experiences as a young web entrepeneur. He just wrote a piece about:

Poker Players vs. Web Publishers

First Press Release

What happened to Movie-Vault?

Like I said, they’re all interesting pieces that I’m sure a lot of you will be able to gain some knowledge from. If you’re looking for a blogging tips and strategy site, then this is probably not the best site to go to. As for monetizing the site, it doesn’t look like Tyler is looking to really monetize his website as there are no ads that are intergrated into the site. For someone who is getting so much traffic, I personally think he’s just throwing money away on a daily basis. He could be making at least $300 a day if he just put up an Adsense banner somewhere on the site.

As is customary on MrGaryLee.com – here are the snapshots of TylerCruz.com:
