Love Turning 30
This weekend I celebrated my 30th birthday and amazingly, I didn’t crumble into fetal position and become depressed about my life. Instead, I looked forward to my birthday with friends and family and celebrated the successes and accomplishments in my life rather than complaining about what I don’t have. This was suppose to be more of a post reflecting on my life, but that gets too boring, so I’m just going to write about things I would tell an “under-30″ about reach the point of “after-30.” I’d like to call it:
Things I’ve learned over the years:
A Night of Drinking takes away a Day of your Life
When there’s a valley, there’s always a peak.
You are who you surround yourself with.
There are friends, then acquaintances, & then people you just don’t need in your life.
It’s more productive waking up early, then waking up late.
Take more risks when you have Less Responsibilities.
A broken heart is a healthy heart.
Money doesn’t buy Happiness, but it does buy time!
It’s never too early to say “thank you!”
I think that’s it for now. I know I had more yesterday on my actual birthday, but with the hangover and everything, I just couldn’t think. =). I just can’t wait to turn 40 so I can look back at my life and smile some more.
Is there anything you want to add to the list? What lessons have you learned throughout your life? Are you looking forward to “old age?”

Hey Gary what day? Mine was the 2nd. Happy Birthday.
I thought I was turning 33 for the last 3 months but then my friend said I was actually turning 32 so I’m so stoked that I’m actually a year younger than I thought I was.

Loved the quote: A Night of Drinking takes away a Day of your Life…i think we’ve all been there, more often than we care to remember.

Happy Birthday dude! Welcome to the 30s club.
It ain’t no productive to wake up early if you sleep late.
How about early to bed and early to rise?
Money isn’t everything, it’s the ONLY thing! LOL!!
It’s never too late to say “sorry”.

I just turned 30 and found this post in Google. I’m not bummed out about it at all, but I guess I am otherwise I wouldn’t have been Googling it. Things like this bring me back to reality. 30 aint’ bad at all. It’s like being 25 with 5 years of experience.
