I read tons of stuff BEFORE the release about the second generation. SHOULD I wait, or Am I waiting for nothing? I am dying to get one. I have been staying clear of the Mac store and the AT&T store just because I know I won't be able to stop myself. Are all the reviews good so far? I had to stop checking after the first day, because I was still green with envy! Maybe I can win the iphone from your site.. I have been holding out on the iphone. As for sharing media, you could install iTunes all machines and share the "server's" library (you could set up a network shared drive and "stream" the tunes through Explorer - but that is a very inefficient way of doing it)! I simply want to place and remove media I already have onto the device. My problem is we have 4 computers in the house and more at work. I also need to share media with friends and clients. No need to install software or sync the device, etc... Just plug it in and it works... "Everywhere". I use it for everything. I use it to take my digital pictures to the photo-lab and keep sales presentations on it for when I'm meeting with a client, etc, etc. If the iPhone could perform this very simple and extremely useful task, I would get one.
