Technorati Reality Check
March 24th, 2007
After a few weeks near the top of the Technorati Mountaintop, I have finally got my dose of reality and have come back down to earth with my real rankings. Well . . .sort of . . . it seems that in the process of cleaning up John’s Technorati Ping Attack, Technorati has also taken down every single link that he’s ever linked me with:
Ya, I know it’s only two, but it’s two links from a highly ranked Technorati blog that would bump up my present ranking up a few notches.
Anyways, here’s the screenshot of my new reality check! Check out how other blogger’s rankings go affected after Technorati fixes their Rank Glitch!

Well - it certainly makes it easier to see who’s linking to our blogs now. Oh well, it’ll be more fun getting legit links anyway (I guess).
Our blog also dropped down a few spots, about 3,000 to be exact
I was wondering why I didn’t get that boost from John Chow. I experimented on commenting after reading Mark Robinson “under 5000 in an hour” I’m now JC’s 3rd top commenter and my ranking is still the same.
Good for Technorati!
i was 1.3million when i made batch 36. after batch 36 i shot up to 80k. now i’m at 248k, which i’m ok with bc my blog is only 2 1/2 weeks old. at least i’m not back at 1.3mil. just gotta work on hustling some more backlinks
