An easily overlooked feature when starting a pay per click campaign is the keyword insertion tool, which allows keywords in your campaign to be dynamically inserted into your ad copy based on the user’s search phrases. This can save you a lot of time if you have a site with many products and it can also increase your click-through rate for your advertisements which improve your overall quality score at the end of the day.

Don’t be lazy and not take the time to find a default tagline that is consistent with all the keywords in your group. This is a great time to set up an ad group just for your specific products. Also, don’t forget to leverage Alt Text for the high volume and generic keywords. Lastly, always “TEST! TEST! TEST” because what works for most people maybe not work for you. Compare your CTR of the ads with keyword insertion versus Ads that don’t have keyword insertion.
